• <br />• <br />COUNCIL WORK SESSION JUNE 9, 1999 <br />Council reviewed the appraisal and requested that the Legion Club prepare a list of all of <br />their costs to date associated with their attempt to relocate in Lino Lakes. The purpose of <br />this request was to aid the Council in determining the sale price. <br />Mr. Bob Moser, representing the Legion Club presented the following figures: <br />Storage fees (6/97 through 7/99) $12,400 <br />Moving fees $ 1,500 <br />Insurance on stored possessions $ 1,100 <br />Attorney fees $ 2,000 <br />Cost of drafting plan for site on Lilac Street $ 1,900 <br />Federal liquor stamp $ 625 <br />Planning and Zoning fees $ 350 <br />Total $20,875 <br />Council Member Neal asked that all of these fees be discounte <br />following schedule be approved: <br />Value of land without assessments <br />Deduct the above listed costs <br />Deduct cost to remove building <br />d that the <br />Council Member Neal ex considering the delays incurred by the Legion Club, <br />the City should sell the on Club for $10,000. <br />After discussion re T, t cost of the removal of the current building, the need to <br />protect the taxpaye . e desire to negotiate some of the issues, Council determined <br />that any rationale fo iscounting the price of the land would need a legal opinion. <br />Council directed the following actions: <br />- Mr. Wessel will contact the City Attorney to determine the legal ramifications of <br />discounting the sale price of this lot. <br />- Determine if the project qualified for redevelopment funding or TIF, what would the <br />City give as an incentive. <br />- If the Council negotiates on this parcel, what does this mean to the other parcels. The <br />Council does not want to sell the other lots at a discounted price. <br />• - Mr. Moser will determine how must money the Legion has donated to the City and its <br />
