RESHANAU TRAIL DISCUSSION, RICK DEGARDNER This matter was discussed at a joint City Council and Reshanau Lake Homeowners Association meeting on March 2, 1999. Since that time, flyers were sent to the entire area asking for comments regarding the current location of the trail around the north end of Reshanau Lake and the proposed Mallard Lane trail. About 60% of those responding to the flyer indicated that they would be supportive of the Mallard Lane trail and not supportive of the condemnation of an easement for the current trail. Letters were also received from residents outside of this neighborhood. Condemnation of an easement could cost well over $100,000 . t d Lane trail will cost about $52,000 if a matching grant is obtained. The City will know if the grant has been award within the next 30 days. At this time, Council has not determined the use of the $27,444 unreserved fund balance. This money could be used to fund a portion of the City costs. Planing and Zoning Board members Mr. Jamie Schaps and Ms. Donna Carlson entered this meeting. Mayor Sullivan explained the discussion this evening. Council Member Bergeson noted the need to purchase a $35,000 generator for the Fire District.
