COUNCIL WORK SESSION JUNE 9, 1999 <br />DISCUSS FOGERTY DEVELOPMENT, CAROLINE DAHL <br />Council Member Dahl explained that she received a telephone call from Ms. Deb <br />Lawrence, Fairview Health Clinic who is concerned because Fogerty has started <br />construction on his new complex on Apollo Drive and has not be available to discuss an <br />agreement on how the berm between his development and the clinic will be constructed. <br />Mr. DeGardner will have someone on staff contact Ms. Lawrence and resolve this matter. <br />DISCUSS TEMPORARY WAGE INCREASE FOR FINANCIAL STAFF, LINDA <br />WAITE SMITH <br />Since Ms. Waite Smith was not present this evening, the matter was placed on the next <br />work session agenda. <br />DISCUSS POLICY ON MEETING MINUTES (APRIL 21,1999 MINUTES), <br />MAYOR SULLIVAN <br />Mayor Sullivan explained that the April 21st set of minutes c test how <br />minutes should be prepared. She noted two (2) items on a t are irrelevant <br />and do not need to be there. Minutes should include im ntent of the <br />discussion, minimize the sound bites that are t. -:. t text and the conclusion for <br />that item. Minutes should be transcribed and g ked afted" and sent to the staff for <br />review. Staff should read the minutes, or corrections and return the draft <br />to the minute transcriber. The tran rrect the minutes by dashing out the <br />inaccurate material and underl';' . ect ons. The minutes are then sent to the <br />Council for approval. Co .nsid- the minutes, note any further corrections and <br />approve the corrected <br />nutes are then marked "approved" and filed. <br />All minutes are to „ ,; ... according to the Robert's Rule's of Order. They should <br />include the standar• o ation such as date, time, who was in attendance etc. The <br />maker of motion an . ` e person who seconds the motion should be identified and the <br />disposition of the motion clearly noted. <br />REGULAR AGENDA <br />Council had no further questions on the remaining agenda items. <br />The meeting was adjourned at 10:00 p.m. <br />These minutes were considered, corrected and approved at the Council meeting on July <br />12, 1999. <br />PAGE 8 <br />• <br />• <br />• <br />
