COUNCIL WORK SESSION OCTOBER 8, 1997 <br />would be the least intrusive in these districts. He objected to locating them in residential <br />districts. <br />Further discussion followed with Mr. Brixius noting that if the draft ordinance limited , <br />antenna towers to specific sites, it would be open to litigation. He also explained that the <br />draft ordinance does emphasize co- locations on established towers. <br />Council directed staff to discuss this matter with the City Attorney. <br />Mr. Brixius noted that the draft ordinance will be before the Planning and Zoning Board <br />this evening. Issues including quality will <br />be discussed. <br />Council will be updated on this matter at the next work session. <br />FUNKHAUSER LAND PROPOSAL, BRIAN WESSEL <br />Mr. Funkhauser has proposed that the City purchase his land which lies between the land <br />the City purchased from Glenn Rehbein and the land where the civic buildings will be <br />constructed. Mr. Wessel will be meeting with Mr. Funkhauser on Friday and will finalize <br />the terms of the sale. The matter will be brought before Council on Monday evening. <br />Mr. Wessel briefly outlined his proposal for purchase of the land. <br />PAGE 2 <br />
