CONTINUATION OF PUBLIC HEARING, American Legion, Lake Drive, <br />Rezone, Conditional Use Permit & Site Plan Review <br />The public hearing was continued from the June 9, 1999, meeting. The City owns four <br />lots consisting of about four acres. American Legion Post 566 has submitted an <br />application that involves converting the old Lino Lakes Police Station to a new Legion <br />Building. <br />The actions before the Planning and Zoning Board tonight include a rezoning, conditional <br />use permit, and a site and building plan review. <br />It was noted that staff is not making a recommendation regarding this project because the <br />City owns the property and is too closely involved. <br />Acting Chair Lane declared the public hearing o <br />Acting Chair Lane asked if there are any p <br />North. Mr. <br />Smyser stated discussions have been held about the potential of noise. He noted he was <br />not present at the neighborhood meeting. <br />Mr. George Palace, 7722 Maryland Drive, came forward and expressed concern about a <br />bar being placed in his backyard. He indicated he is also concerned about the pond <br />placement, watershed ditch, maintenance of the pond, and tree removal. He stated he was <br />
