RUG -24 -1999 22:48 FROM TJ FOOD VENTURES INC
August 27, 1999
•
Mark Cory
6697 Ruffed Grouse Rd
Lino Lakes, MN 55014
651 - 653 -4730 (H)
651- 774 -1411 (W)
Rick Degardner
Lino Lakes public Services Department
600 Town Center Parkway
Lino Lakes, MN 55014
Dear Rick;
TO
9822439
I acu writing you in response to the letter that I received from you regarding the Quail
Ridge Boardwalk.
Being a parent of two small children I find myself
Since, you have begun y concerned over this boardwalk,
gun to develop the sout l side of Birch Street. the run off from the
Trappers Crossing development flows down the hill and under the boardwalk. In the past
years before the development there was only water under the boardwalk in the spring and
then it would dry up. Since the development, the water levels continue CO rise and it no
longer dries up. I feel that you should take into consideration the water Ievels under the
boardwalk when determining the future of this project. Currently, it is not a safe place
for people to walk. Even if it was not sinking there are no sides on it, only a wire cable to
hold on to. It would be very easy for a chilt4 to fah in.
I feel that you should do one of two things, either take it down or replace it with a proper
bridge with enclosed sides and railings. If we are going to be making a park across the
boardwalk some day we will need a proper bridge to handle the people.
If 1 can be of any further assistance please call.
Sincerely,
Mark T. Cory
•
P.01
