• <br />• <br />COUNCIL WORK SESSION APRIL 9, 1997 <br />CONSIDERATION OF ORDINANCE NO. 1- - 97, PLACING A MORATORIUM <br />ON TELECOMMUNICATIONS TOWERS, MARY KAY WYLAND <br />A request for approval of the construction of a telecommunications tower is on the <br />Planning and Zoning Board agenda this evening. Staff will recommend that the request be <br />tabled to allow time for the City to enact a moratorium on such construction until <br />restrictions regarding the location of such towers can be adopted. <br />Tower locations will be addressed by the Comprehensive Plan. Therefore, Monday <br />evening staff will ask Council to adopt a moratorium which will be in place until the <br />Comprehensive Plan update is completed. Staff will also request legal assistance in this <br />matter. <br />This matter is on the agenda for Monday. <br />NAME THE "VILLAGE ", BRIAN WESSEL <br />The Town Center Committee discussed naming the "Village" and h <br />citizens input. Staff is preparing a press release on this matter; <br />placed in the next Quad Press. <br />Council asked if the Town Center Committee <br />ed to solicit <br />se will be <br />ng ttee. Council directed the Town Center <br />Committee to pre sw a guidelines for such facilities for this project. <br />DISCUSSION OF GERALD REHBEIN'S PROPOSAL FOR WATER SERVICE <br />DAVID AHRENS <br />Mr. Rehbein has requested that the Lino Lakes municipal water service be extended to <br />property he owns in the City of Centerville. Council directed staff to determine if Mr. <br />Rehbein is willing to pay for service at the same level paid by the Lino Lakes residents <br />and business owners. Staff will bring this matter back to the April 23rd work session. <br />DISCUSSION OF WORK IN BEHM'S CENTURY FARM, PHASE II, DAVID <br />AHRENS <br />Mr. Uhde, developer of Behm's Century Farm is requesting a permit to construct utilities <br />in Phase II of his development.
