• COUNCIL WORK SESSION MAY 21, 1997 Mr. Wessel noted that in the future when the on/off ramps are constructed at I- 35W/Main Street, the land under the current city hall may become valuable commercial land. Staff was directed to prepare a financing plan for the civic buildings. POLICE DEPARTMENT ANNUAL REPORT, CHIEF PECCHIA Chief Pecchia outline the 1996 Police Department report. Council asked Chief Pecchia to include in his report the impact of the rate of growth in the City. This item is on the Council agenda for May 27th. Chief Pecchia was asked if he will include a helicopter pad on or near the new Police Department building. Chief Pecchia explained that the Police Department would use the Lino Air Park runway if a helicopter was needed. This item will be on the June 9th Council agenda. CONSIDERATION OF ORDINANCE NO. 12 - 97, SIGN ORDINANCE REVISION, MARY KAY WYLAND Ms. Wyland noted that this ordinance is currently being typed. The Council will receive a draft copy on May 30th and the first reading will be on the June 9th Council agenda. All changes to this ordinance will he highlighted. • Ms. Wyland noted that the Planning and Zoning Board is currently working on a recreational vehicle ordinance and an antenna ordinance.
