Release of security - The applicant shall notify the City when the planting has been completed so the City can verify that tree planting is completed, identify any discrepancies with the approved Tree Preservation Plan, and establish the planting completion date. a) The security shall be retained for at least one year after the date that the last replacement tree has been planted. b) Prior to release of the security, the City shall inspect the site to verify compliance with the approved Tree Preservation Plan as described in Section VI - Compliance and Enforcement. If non - compliance is found, the City may retain security to cover the cost of bringing the project into compliance. c) In no event shall the performance security be released before expiration of the one -year plant warranty period.
