The need to develop a higher level of and cover -type classification and a detailed <br />• inventory of natural communities and rare plants in eastern Anoka County is apparent to assist <br />various local units of government and private landowners in making well- Informed land use and <br />resource management decisions. This proposed project is consistent with the greenways and <br />land stewardship goals outlined in Anoka County's recently adopted 2020 Vision Park System <br />Plan. <br />Anoka County is willing to contribute the following in -kind services towards obtaining the <br />objectives of this proposed project: <br />1) Provide existing cover type and rare plants data (1998) for the 2,500 acre Rice Creek Chain <br />of Lakes Regional Park Reserve. (8 hours labor) <br />2) Provide technical assistance with aerial photo Interpretation, ground truthing, and plant <br />Inventories. (Year 2000; 125 hours labor) (Year 2001; 125 hours labor) <br />3) Total in-kind contribution of 258 hgurs of labor pro -rated at $27.13 per hour <br />$7,000 <br />The Anoka County Parks and Recreation Department values inter - agency partnerships of this <br />magnitude which will provide a wide spectrum of opportunity and provide Tong -term benefits to <br />the unique ecological systems in Anoka County.
