ENVIRONMENTAL BOARD MEETING NOVEMBER 29, 2000 <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />MINUTES <br />DATE : November 29, 2000 <br />TIME STARTED : 6:34 P.M. <br />TIME ENDED : 9:25 P.M. <br />MEMBERS PRESENT : Maurene Davidson, Amy Donlin, Rod Kukonen, Scott <br />Lanyon, Dave Mach, Theresa O'Connell, and Mike Trehus <br />(excused at 7:56 p.m.) <br />MEMBERS ABSENT : None. <br />Staff members present: Environmental Coordinator Marty Asleson, Community Development <br />Director Brian Wessel (part), and City Planner Jeff Smyser. <br />CALL TO ORDER <br />Chair Lanyon called the meeting to order at 6:34 p.m. <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />A. October 25, 2000 — The following corrections we quested: <br />Page 2, 6th paragraph, " Kukonen moved to nd avoidance of piecemeal <br />development, and does not suppo 'nue• oad expansion or development until a <br />comprehensive plan for the are . • completed and approved. <br />Page 3, 8th paragraph, co %•`♦ ;'n_ the word "habitat." <br />Davidson moved to approve ' tober 25, 2000 meeting minutes as amended above. <br />Kukonen seconded the motion otion carried unanimously. <br />APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br />The following items were added to the meeting agenda: <br />• E -Mail Discussion <br />The agenda was approved as amended above. <br />CITIZEN COMMENTS <br />Connie Grundhofer, 235 Linda Avenue, asked if the Board is aware that plans are being made to <br />expand Highway 49 into a four lane highway, which would double its current size. She stated <br />her concern about the potential loss of the beautiful country atmosphere in Lino Lakes. Ms. <br />1 <br />
