Water Surface Use: Will the project change the number or type of water craft on
any water body? If yes, indicate the current and projected watercraft usage and
discuss any potential overcrowding or conflicts with other users or fish and wildlife
resources.
Not Applicable.
16. (SCS
interpretations and soil boring logs need not be attached.)
Soils on site include primarily 4 -5 layers of silty sand (SM) and sand with silt (SP -SM).
Geotechnical exploration was conducted by American Engineering and Testing.
Report to be attach. See Appendix
17. Erosion and Sedimentation:
Give the acreage to be graded or excavated and the cubic yards of soil to be moved:
PTG has Emailed Larry Rogers at Ryan to verify earthwork quantities.
acres: 41.82
cubic yards: 170,000
Describe any steep slopes or highly erodible soils and identify them on the site map.
Describe the erosion and sedimentation measures to be used during and after
construction of the project.
There are no steep slopes on this site.
Because the project will involve disturbance of more than five acres of land, application
for coverage under the NPDES General Permit for Construction Activities will be
submitted to the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency and prior to initiating earthwork on
the site. The permit requires that best management practices (BMPs) be used to control
erosion and that all erosion controls be inspected after each rainfall exceeding 0.1 inch of
precipitation. Erosion control practices to be used on the site will include:
PARSONS
TRANSPORTATION GROUP
Berton•Aschman • De Leuw, Lather, • Steinman
Page 10
Town Center Development
Draft -Draft EAW....February 1, 2001
