Noise
Noise impacts from construction of the project may exceed the state noise standards for a
limited period of time. Every effort will be made to reduce construction noise by
ensuring that all equipment has proper noise reduction devices. In addition, construction
activities will occur only during daytime hours.
The principal source of noise for the project is additional traffic along roadways
surrounding the development. The potential impact of this traffic noise was evaluated as
part of the Indirect Source Permit application (Appendix D) required for this project.
(pending to be provided by PTG)
The evaluation shows that the post - development noise levels at the sensitive receptors
will be in compliance with State standards.
26. Are any of the following resources on or in proximity to the site:
a. Archaeological, historical, or architectural resources?
Pending SHIPO Appendix E. PTG sent Letter waiting on response
b. Prime or unique farmlands?
No.
c. Designated parks, recreation areas, or trails?
Trails - Yes
d. Scenic views and vistas?
No.
e. Other unique resources?
Yes.
If any items are answered Yes, describe the resource and identify any impacts on the
resource due to the project. Describe any measures to be taken to minimize or avoid
adverse impacts.
Chain of Lakes Regional Park is located on the opposite side of Interstate 35W from the
site. Because of the Interstate 35W separation, impact on park activities will not be
significant. Mitigation of potential surface water impacts are discussed in Item 18.
PARSONS
TRANSPORTATION GROUP
Barton- Aschman • De Lauer, Cather, • Steinman
Page 16
Town Center Development
Draft -Draft EAW....February 1, 2001
