YAN•
EXTERIOR LIGHTING AND SIGNAGE
As requested by City Staff, luminaries will be located in recessed or boxed fixtures to eliminate
off -site direct views of the luminaries. Exterior lighting is designed to avoid glare on any
neighboring residential parcel as demonstrated by the submitted lighting distribution plan.
Lighting in the rear of the buildings will be limited to wall - mounted fixtures that will avoid direct
spillover beyond the development's paved areas. Security lighting is also proposed in certain
identified areas. An illumination plan has been submitted which depicts the projected foot-
candle measurement on the Property.
The following is a summary of the modifications the Applicant is proposing to deviate from the
Applicant's standard lighting package to "soften" the site lighting plan as requested by the
neighbors (see Exhibit G):
1. The pole mounted flat glass lenses in shoebox fixtures instead of the normal convex lens
fixtures. This will lessen the glare from lamps being seen below the bottom plane of the
fixture.
2. Applicant has eliminated the typical shielded wall packs from the northern drive's security
lighting package, replacing the fixtures with shoebox style and flat glass lens. This change
along the building's north, east and dock areas will have light only shining in a downward
direction. The flat glass shoebox fixtures mounted on 6" arms at 20' above pavement will
eliminate spillover light beyond the paved areas.
Applicant's general site lighting criteria is as follows for the level of security specified:
1. Building front at curb
2. Entry drives
3. General Parking
4.
