Location of Replacement Trees: Replacement trees shall be planted: <br />1. On Site - Planting located within the subject property described in the application. <br />2. Off Site - If there is insufficient suitable area on the subject property to accommodate <br />all required replacement trees, the City may consider allowing planting on other land. <br />Priority will be given to public land owned by the City or other land (public or <br />private), to be approved by the City. <br />3. Payment to Tree Fund - The City may accept a payment for the required caliper <br />inches of replacement trees, if no suitable on -site or off -site location can be found to <br />accommodate the trees. The exact dollar amount shall be established by the City <br />Council. fmay want to more clearly specify where money will go and how it can be <br />used e.g. Street Tree Fund, parkland acquisition, natural resource protection - talk <br />to City Attorney) <br />D. Size, Type, and Quality of Replacement Trees <br />1. No more than one -third (1/3) of the replacement trees on a property shall be of the <br />same species, unless approved by the City. <br />2. Replacement trees shall be of a species similar to the trees which are lost or removed <br />or of a species similar to the indicator species of the Ecological Prototype of the <br />8 <br />
