Proper grades will be <br />maintained or underdrain systems installed as part <br />of an overall site plan to ensure positive drainage. <br />Wetland mitigation criteria shall be established <br />consistent with the Wetland Conservation Act, State <br />and federal regulations, and the needs of the City. <br />Alteration of wetlands is discouraged. Alteration <br />may be allowed on an individual basis if the <br />alteration can be properly mitigated. <br />Creation of open water areas shall be done in <br />conformance with the "General Design <br />Consideration for Wildlife Pond Construction and <br />Wetland Alterations." <br />Wetlands may be used for stormwater storage and <br />treatment only if it can be shown that the character <br />of the wetland will not be adversely affected by <br />substantially increased sediment load, tributary <br />area, or water level fluctuations. <br />Erosion Control <br />Policy 8.1: <br />Policy 8.2: <br />Policy 8.3: <br />Natural vegetation will be preserved. <br />Erosion control plans will be required for all land <br />disturbance activities. <br />All erosion and sediment control measures specified <br />in the erosion control plan must be installed prior to <br />obtaining a grading permit. <br />Policy 8.4: Soil erosion shall be prevented through the <br />installation of erosion control practices outlined in <br />the standards section of this plan. <br />Local Water Management Plan <br />Users Manual SEH NO: LINOL9402.00 <br />Page 9 <br />
