• <br />• AGENDA ITEM 5C <br />STAFF ORIGINATOR: Marty Asleson <br />DATE: August 29, 2001 <br />TOPIC: Saddle Club Preliminary Plat Review <br />BACKGROUND: <br />The Saddle Club was approved at the April Environmental Board Meeting. After <br />this approval, the project was denied. I believe the reason for denial was related <br />to road connection issues. <br />The developer has submitted a new plat for consideration. The plat excludes the <br />southern area that is not in the MUSA and was. considered with the previous plat <br />application. As you may recall, this area was desired to facilitate additional <br />housing and a request was made to expand the MUSA reserve. A Greenway <br />dedication was included in this proposal. <br />The new plan only includes the portion of the property that is in designated <br />MUSA. The developer has submitted a plan that, from what I understand, meets <br />the standards outlined in the City Zoning Code. <br />OPTIONS: <br />1. Recommend Approval of Saddle Club Preliminary Plat <br />2. Recommend denial. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />The Environmental Board's recommendation will be forwarded on to Planning and <br />Zoning and the City Council. <br />
