There have been several meetings with the project representatives. <br />General overview to be given by Brian Wessel <br />STAFF COMMENTS/ISSUES FOR CONSIDERATION: <br />• Surface water treatment imperative <br />• Information from the Environmental Inventory, specific site inventory and recommendations from AES, <br />Tree Inventory from previous development proposal, as well as specific modals on surface water treatment, <br />and information on structural soil use has been given to the developers. <br />• Streetscape design and alternative transportation access need to be effective. <br />Very expensive commercial property <br />Developer has hired a reputable environmental consultant as part of their team. <br />Attraction of "Green Industry" <br />Greenway design <br />Environmental Issues: The following identifies potential impacts to Environment. <br />• large impervious surface/Lake water quality impact concerns. <br />Oak- woodland to south and miscellaneous recently developed tree areas to north. <br />Several prairie and savanna areas previously identified by AES on freeway side. <br />COMPREHENSIVE PLAN REFERENCES: Refer to the following references for information that may <br />affect discussions related to this issue. <br />Section 2 - Assessment of Needs <br />• Completed by Brauer AES and presently being studied by consultants. <br />Section 3 - Governing Polices <br />•Creating a sustainable landscape <br />requires a broader view that starts with <br />the big picture or vision and moves into <br />a physical plan and set of action steps <br />to achieve that vision. <br />The 20/20 Vision Plan established the philosophical vision for the community that <br />was the starting point for this study.
