• • Joint Environmental Board Park Board Meeting Meeting Date: March 31, 2004 Topic: Joint Environmental Board and Park Board Meeting Summary: Jeff Schoenbauer of Brauer and Associates has requested the following information for the packet: Park Board and Environmental Board Meeting Objective: Provide the Park Board and Environmental Board with an overview of the planning process to date and have an open discussion on: general planning issues; developing strong synergies between park, greenway, and environmental planning; and developing a common vision that will influence the system plan and character of the community. Park and Environmental Board Meeting Agenda: • Introduction • Overview of common vision statements from the 20/20 Vision Plan, Comprehensive Plan, Handbook for Environmental Planning and Conservation Development, and the Park and Greenway System Plan. • Consideration of initial findings related to the park and greenway system. • Consideration of the initial findings related to the trail system plan. • Consideration of natural resources stewardship planning issues. • Consideration of implementation challenges and possible approaches. There will be open discussion related to each of the listed agenda items after a presentation of findings. In preparation for the meeting, each member of the two boards should please think about and be prepared to discuss your perspectives on each of these agenda items.
