• <br />• <br />Also, during the review process for DNR permit No. 2001 -6109, the project proposer committed in an <br />August 5, 2001 memo that a stipulation will be recorded with the City of Lino Lakes stating that new <br />homeowners not be allowed to disturb any of the wetlands beyond 100 feet from the back of their homes. <br />This was to prevent the almost inevitable request from landowners to dredge channels out to the open <br />water portion of the Lake, or for the creation of small ponds. This agreement should be mentioned in the <br />EAW document. <br />On page 9 there is a statement that each lot will be individually custom graded to preserve trees and <br />minimize impacts to the topography. Figure 12, however, contains the statement "Heavy duty silt fence <br />to be installed after mass grading ". There seems to be some inconsistency here. <br />Water Quality: Wastewaters (Item No. 18) <br />The sewage pumped through a forcemain hung from the bridge is a concern, again because of the private <br />ownership of the bridge. What are the assurances that the bridge and forcemain will be inspected and <br />maintained on a regular basis? <br />Visual Impacts (Item No 26) <br />The addition of houses and a bridge to an undeveloped island will result in visual impacts. The structures <br />and lighting will permanently change the character of the island visually and in other ways. <br />Thank you for the opportunity to review this project and the EAW.
