ENVIRONMENTAL BOARD MEETING OCTOBER 26, 2005
Page 6, first paragraph: "It was noted that the next meeting of the Environmental
Board will be on October 26, 2005."
Grundhofer made a motion to approve the October 12, 2005 meeting minutes.
Bauman seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously.
3. APPROVAL OF AGENDA
• Discuss Quad Paper in 6C.
• Discuss Office Building in 6D.
• Discuss Water in 6E.
The Board approved the agenda as amended.
4. OPEN MIKE
No citizen comments were made.
5. ACTION ITEMS
A. JADT/Lino Lakes Commercial Center /Sheet Metal Workers
Preliminary Plat Site Plan Review
Asleson reviewed the background and analysis, and distributed a map of a
segment of the Tree Preservation Plan.
O'Dea inquired if the recommendation of no importing or exporting soils would
apply in this case. In addition, could the use of pervious parking where possible
also be recommended on the side of the buildings. Asleson responded that both
recommendations were good to add. The pervious parking could take the form of
Netlawn, a granular type, or pervious bituminous.
Bor questioned if snow removal had been addressed. Sean Bergoine of HTG
indicated that the snow could be carted off, or possibly a communal response
could be coordinated with Target and Kohl's.
Asleson stated that timely sweeping and general maintenance were necessary, and
commented that hazardous materials needed to be properly stored.
Grundhofer mentioned the possibility of saving some oaks if five parking spaces
were removed from the plan and noted its location. Mr. Bergoine responded that
they tried to save them, but found it impossible because they were only allowed
one curve outlet near McDonald's. They had recently submitted a revised
Landscape Plan, and had conformed to all the recommendations made in 2003.
2 DRAFT MINUTES
•
•
•
1
