They also motivate interest in the proper use of, care for, the <br />natural resources of the city. They seek information about laws, policies, and regulations <br />of all levels of government that may have environmental or ecological significance for the <br />city. Meetings are held at 7:00 p.m. on the third Thursday of each month. <br />Jason Wilde, Chair <br />Eden Prairie Parks, Recreation & Natural Resources Commission <br />Advises the City on matters of development and use of parks and recreation facilities, <br />leisure services, recreation programming, preservation of natural resources and promotion <br />of environmental awareness. It attempts to provide the City <br />Council with accurate information to assist in making and implementing sound <br />environmental policy in such areas as solid waste abatement programming, environmental <br />education, waste reduction and water resource management. Meets the third Tuesday of <br />each month at 7:30 p.m. at the Fridley Municipal Center. <br />Golden Valley Environmental Commission <br />Advises and makes recommendations to the City Council in matters relating to and <br />affecting the environment. Seven members serve three -year staggered terms. Meets fourth <br />Monday, 7 pm in City Hall.
