• <br />Inver Grove Heights Environmental Commission <br />The Environmental Commission is a nine member citizen commission appointed by the <br />City Council to review review environmental issues including Land Alteration Permits, <br />Wetland Replacement Applications, landfill issues and other miscellaneous items that the <br />Council deems necessary for review. <br />Meetings are held the fourth Thursday of each month at 7:30 PM in the City Council <br />Chambers. Alice Lesney, Chair <br />Lakeville Parks, Recreation and Natural Resources Committee <br />Makes recommendations to the City Council regarding recreation and the parks, trails <br />system and issues pertaining to Lakeville's environmental and natural resources. <br />Activities include long -range planning, review of new developments and <br />recommendations for improvements. The Parks, Recreation and Natural Resources <br />Committee meets at 6 p.m. on the first and third Wednesday of each month, at City Hall, <br />20195 Holyoke Ave. <br />Lexington <br />Maplewood <br />NONE <br />Environmental Board <br />Recently appointed people for their new board. The environmental staff person gave them <br />some training. They met the city council. One evening the council and environmental <br />board had an educational evening with Jay Micheals from NEMO. Reports to Environmental Coordinating Team which consists of <br />department head who meet on a quarterly basis to discuss, comment and take action on <br />environmental issues /projects of concern to the city <br />Meetings: Monthly. <br />Contact: 612- 673 -5863 <br />New Brighton Parks, Recreation & Environmental Commission <br />Advises the City Council on the proper use of and care for parks and the natural <br />environment and advises on policies covering recreational activities of the city. Issues <br />relating to the Family Service Center also come under the duties of this commission.
