• <br />• <br />• <br />ENVIRONMENTAL BOARD MEETING DECEMBER 20, 2006 <br />Page 7 — Mr. Bor asked who will be responsible for upkeep of the property <br />development. Mr. Husveth stated this issue is addressed in the DNR's comments <br />which are further on in the document. <br />Page 9, bottom — The City of Columbus addressed the use of Pine Street. Mr. <br />Smyser stated this Pine Street is one of two ways to access the development. <br />Page 11, 2nd response - Ms. O'Dea stated we would like it to read seven acres. <br />Page 11, 5th response - Mrs. Grundhofer asked about the floodplain. Mr. Husveth <br />stated that wetlands have been delineated and submitted to Rice Creek Watershed <br />District. <br />Page 12, 4th response - Ms. Bor suggests that people buying properties provide a <br />signed document stating they understand the developments requirements. Mr. <br />Smyser stated we would look at adding a sentence that the city make a special <br />effort to give the new homeowners documentation. Ms. O'Dea stated that the <br />Homeowners Association should take on this responsibility. <br />Page 14, Wildlife Habitat — Mr. Grundhofer questioned the proposed 55 percent <br />of trees to be coming down, and that we should be looking at the whole city, not <br />just that piece of property. Mr. Husveth stated that under the second bullet point <br />on the document the focus of the response is regarding the Blanding's turtle. Mr. <br />Husveth addressed this issue in other areas of the EAW. Mr. Husveth stated that <br />this development should increase the biological integrity when completed. <br />Page 15, Other, typo on sentence 4 — Change to read project will result in instead <br />of project will result I. <br />Mr. O'Dea then asked for a vote to either recommend or return to staff. <br />Ms. O'Dea made a motion to recommend the adoption of the record of decision. <br />Motion by Ms. DeHaven to amend seconded by Ms. Grundhofer. Motion carried <br />unanimously. <br />B. Gary Averbeck — Removed <br />C.
