ENVIRONMENTAL BOARD MEETING APRIL 25, 2007 <br />Ms. Brouillet mentioned that Walter's Recycling has donated a dumpster for <br />recycling day. <br />Earth Day — Mr. Asleson stated that about 735 people attended the Earth Day <br />celebration at Wargo Nature Center. He stated that this event was a success. Ms. <br />Andrzejewski had a booth at Wargo Nature Center for the event. She brought <br />information resources and activities for the kids. <br />C. Project Updates: Blue Heron Days, Spring Restoration Burns and <br />Heron Colony Update <br />Blue Heron Days - Walter's will donate trash bins with wheels for Blue Heron <br />Days stated Ms. Brouillet. <br />Spring Restoration Burns. Mr. Asleson reviewed with the board where burns <br />have taken place in the past week. He stated that a Blanding's turtle was found on <br />the Fox Borough site. Mr. Husveth from Critical Connections will document the <br />finding. Pictures were taken and the turtle was then released. <br />Heron Colony Update: Mr. Asleson is looking into an inventory flyover of <br />Peltier Island to record the number of Blue Heron nests present at this time. <br />7. ADJOURN <br />It was noted that the next meeting of the Environmental Board will be on May 30, <br />2007. <br />There being no further business, Ms. Bor moved to adjourn at 7:30 p.m. and Ms. <br />Brouillet seconded the motion.
