• <br />• <br />• <br />Declining block (the more water used, the cheaper the rate) and flat (one fee for an unlimited <br />volume of water) rates should be phased out and replaced with conservation rates. <br />Incorporating a seasonal rate structure and the benefits of a monthly billing cycle should also <br />be considered along with the development of an emergency rate structure that could be <br />quickly implemented to encourage conservation in an emergency. <br />Current Water Rates. Include a copy of the actual rate structure in Attachment ar:list- <br />water rates :including base/service fees and volume .Charges below. <br />0- 30,000 gallons - $1.77 per 1000 gallons <br />Over 30,000 gallons - $2.07 per 1000 gallons <br />Proposed water rate schedule to follow <br />4. Regulation. Plans should include regulations for short-term reductions in demand and <br />long -term improvements in water efficiencies. Sample regulations are available from <br />DNR Waters.
