C. Apollo Drive <br />Apollo Drive will be generally lined with clusters of Red Oaks and small groves of Multi- <br />stem Amur Maple set in native grass planting areas. Groves of Quaking Aspen, tolerant of <br />wet conditions, will be used in infiltration pond areas. The entry median will be planted with <br />flowering ornaments, flowering ground covers (such as day lilies) and low shrub masses. <br />Tree spacing will generally be three trees per 100 feet of curb length. <br />D. Private Roads <br />Private Roads will be lined with groupings of Hackberry, Ash, Red Maple and Honeylocust. <br />Groves of Quaking Aspen, tolerant of wet conditions, will be used in infiltration pond areas. <br />Small areas of Amur, Maple and flowering ornaments used on Apollo Drive will be repeated <br />along with evergreens as needed for screening and accent. Tree spacing will generally be <br />three trees per 100 feet of curb length. <br />E. Foundation Planting <br />Retail pedestrian areas shall incorporate foundation planting with colorful accents. These <br />may include pots with seasonal color and entries and seating areas for pedestrian interest and <br />ambiance. <br />F. Common Open Space Area <br />Common Open Space areas will be defined by plantings, berms and buildings to become <br />outdoor rooms. Usable spaces shall be sod or a hardsurfaced paving material. Open spaced <br />to be predominantly for viewing shall be nature grasses and wildflowers. <br />G. Parking Lot Interiors <br />Landscaping the interior of parking lots improves the appearance of large commercial <br />parking lots and breaks up large expanses of asphalt. <br />Parking lot islands must be large enough to support the trees planted and trees and other plant <br />materials should be selected that thrive under harsh conditions. <br />Parking lot interiors should have 150 square feet of landscape islands per 25 parking spaces. <br />The islands shall include at a minimum one overstory tree with a minimum of 3 caliper at <br />time of planting. <br />
