AGENDA ITEM 3B <br />STAFF MEMBER Daniel Tesch, Director of Administration <br />DATE 16 February 1999 <br />SUBJECT Additional Non -Union Salary Adjustments <br />VOTE REQUIRED Simple Majority <br />BACKGROUND <br />The recent de-certification of the Lino Lakes Management Association allows the city <br />council to proceed with cost of living adjustments for the following positions: <br />Public Safety Director <br />Public Services Director <br />Community Development Director <br />Public Works Superintendent <br />Parks Department Office Manager <br />Police Department Office Manager <br />The recommendation is for a 3% adjustment, consistent with metropolitan cities and <br />other employee groups. This adjustment would be retroactive to 1 January 1999. <br />In addition, I would recommend that the Pay Program be amended to reflect the addition <br />of a Recreation Supervisor II, and that the incumbent be placed at Step 5: <br />Recreation Supervisor II <br />Step 1 Step 2 Step 3 Step 4 Step 5 Step 6 <br />$36,000 $37,800 $39,600 $41,400 $43,200 $45,000 <br />OPTIONS <br />1. Adjust the salaries for non -union employees by 3% <br />Create a Recreation Supervisor II position with placement of the incumbent at <br />Step 5 <br />Return to staff for more information <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />1. <br />
