AGENDA ITEM NO. 5A <br />STAFF ORIGINATOR: Rick DeGardner, Public Services Director <br />DATE: March 16, 1999 <br />TOPIC: Resolution 99 -15 - Donation from Circle -Lex Lions Club <br />Vote Required: Majority Vote <br />BACKGROUND: <br />The Circle -Lex Lions Club approached the Parks and Recreation Department to investigate the <br />possibility of providing a community party wagon to area residents. <br />The Circle -Lex Lions Club has agreed to purchase a community party wagon and furnish a <br />variety of equipment. This contribution amounts to $10,945. <br />The Lino Lakes Parks and Recreation Department is currently preparing a procedures and policy <br />manual for the party wagon. These procedures will be strictly adhered to <br />Applications will be available beginning March 29 at the Parks and Recreation Building. <br />Applications received by April 8 will be processed in random order on April 9. Block Party <br />applications will receive priority over individual applications. Also, there will be no fee to <br />reserve the party wagon for a neighborhood block party. A nominal fee will be required for an <br />individual event such as a graduation party or family reunion. <br />The party wagon will be available for use from June 1 - September 15. The Parks and <br />Recreation Department will coordinate the scheduling and delivery of this exciting new amend <br />OPTIONS: <br />1. Accept the $10,945 donation from the Circle -Lex Lion Club. <br />2.
