INTERCONNECT AGREEMENT <br />CONTRACT FOR JOINT USAGE OF WATER FACILITIES <br />BY AND BETWEEN THE CITY OF LINO LAKES AND <br />THE CITY OF CENTERVILLE, ANOKA COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br />THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into this day of , 1999, <br />by and between the City of Lino Lakes, a municipal corporation, situated in Anoka <br />County, Minnesota, hereinafter called "Lino Lakes ", and the City of Centerville, a <br />municipal corporation, situated in Anoka County, Minnesota, hereinafter called <br />"Centerville ". Both Lino Lakes and Centerville have the authority to enter into this <br />agreement pursuant to Minnesota Statute 471.59. <br />WHEREAS, Lino Lakes has constructed a water system capable of providing <br />emergency and peak demand water supply service to Centerville, and Centerville is <br />considering water system improvements including the construction of an elevated water <br />storage tank and trunk watermains. <br />WHEREAS, until this water system in Centerville is fully developed with source, <br />distribution, and storage capacity, this area can be more effectively served by <br />interconnection with Lino Lakes water system. <br />WHEREAS, after the completion of the Centerville water system a more reliable <br />water supply in both Lino Lakes and Centerville would result from the interconnection <br />between the two communities water systems. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the parties hereto agree as follows: <br />SECTION 1. GENERAL CONDITIONS <br />1. In consideration of the covenants and agreements herein set forth, <br />Centerville shall construct a water system connection to the public water system of Lino <br />Lakes subject to all terms, conditions, and provisions of this Agreement as hereinafter <br />expressed. <br />
