Member introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />LINO LAKES CITY COUNCIL <br />RESOLUTION NO. 99 -31 <br />ADDING LAND TO THE RICE CREEK CHAIN OF LAKES REGIONAL PARK RESERVE <br />WHEREAS, The Anoka County Board of Commissioners passed a resolution on March 26, 1974 <br />approving the acquisition of land for the regional park, and <br />WHEREAS, The resolution noted that no further park or open space commitment should be <br />required by the City of Lino Lakes, and <br />WHEREAS, The County would like to purchase 133.2 acres of wetland declared surplus by the <br />St. Paul Water Utility to incorporate into the regional park, and <br />WHEREAS, the acquisition of this land does not adversely impact the City of Lino Lakes and will <br />benefit the regional park reserve; <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council hereby endorses an exception to <br />the policy that no further park or open space should be required by the City of Lino Lakes. <br />Dated: April 26, 1999 <br />Kimberly A.
