Recommendations <br />The Safety Committee shall note on the Inspection CheckList, specific findings on the <br />inspected area. Recommendations shall be made by the Safety Committee, from the <br />information on the Inspection Check List, that will suggest action that the department <br />should take to correct any unsafe conditions or practices in the area, if it is found that <br />they do not exist. <br />Everyday Inspections and Immediate Hazards <br />The Safety Inspection Program is not designed to replace the constant everyday <br />inspections of the supervisors, but is developed as a supplement to it. Safety hazards <br />demanding immediate attention shall be reported by any employee to the supervisor. The <br />supervisor, if possible, will correct the hazard or make a recommendation for its <br />correction. <br />BEHAVIOR RULES AND POLICIES <br />The following behavior rules and policies outline inappropriate behavior, which may conducive <br />to accidents, and are violations of appropriate behavior policies and rules: <br />1. Bad work habits (horseplay, drinking, drug use, etc.) <br />2. Abuse of proper radio procedures. <br />3. Abuse of fellow employees. <br />4. Abuse of equipment and property. <br />5. Interference with the work of other employees. <br />6. Unjustified verbal abuse of (and quarrels with) citizens. <br />7. Disobeying direct orders and posted directives. <br />8. Unauthorized trips and use of equipment. <br />9. Improper dress (stripping to waist and failure to wear appropriate clothing for existing <br />weather conditions). <br />Employees violating these rules shall be subject to discipline according to union contracts and at <br />the direction of the department head and City Manager. Complaints regarding violations of these <br />behavior rules should be made according to the following schedule: <br />First: Division Head <br />Second: Department Head <br />Third: City Manager <br />BLOODBORNE PATHOGENS <br />City policy for Bloodborne Pathogens will be as follows: <br />Any employee who comes across any emergency or accident that has any body fluid or <br />blood exposure should do the following: <br />1.
