AGENDA ITEM NO. 3F <br />STAFF ORIGINATOR: Ry -Chel Gaustad, CMC City Clerk <br />DATE: September 10, 1999 <br />TOPIC: Resolution 99-67 Establishing A Public Hearing <br />Date for Proposed Assessment of Delinquent Sewer <br />& Water Utility Accounts <br />VOTE REQUIRED: Simple Majority <br />BACKGROUND: <br />Historically, the City has certified delinquent utility accounts to Anoka County for <br />collection with property taxes. According to Chapter 400 of the City Code, the adoption <br />of the above- mentioned resolution will establish the public hearing date for proposed <br />assessments of delinquent utility accounts. The certification schedule of events are as <br />follows: <br />August 20, 1999 Mailed proposed assessment notice to property owners of <br />delinquent accounts <br />September 13, 1999 Establish a date for public hearing <br />September 28, 1999 Publish first public notice <br />October 4, 1999 <br />Send resolution of scheduled public hearing date for <br />proposed assessments to property owners of delinquent <br />accounts <br />October 5, 1999 Publish second public notice <br />October 25, 1999 I Conduct public hearing <br />October 28, 1999 Certify delinquent utility accounts to Anoka County <br />OPTIONS: <br />1. Adopt Resolution 99+-67 <br />2. Reject Resolution 991-67 <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Option 1 <br />
