street reconstruction, as opposed to year 2000 identified in the Capital
Improvement Plan, is beneficial to the City and residents in this neighborhood as
construction activity will take place at one time rather than two.
Funding
Funding for this project is proposed to be with the City's Area and Unit Fund.
This fund was specifically created to fund trunk improvements such as lift
stations. Since no special assessments are proposed to be used for funding this
project, a public hearing is not required.
OPTIONS:
1. Return to staff for further discussion.
2. Adopt Resolution No. 98 -10, ordering the preparation of plans and
specifications for the Blackduck Drive Lift Station project.
3. Not adopt Resolution No. 98 -10.
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends that Council adopt Resolution No. 98 -10, ordering the
preparation of plans and specifications for the Blackduck Drive Lift Station
Project. Reasons for this recommendation include coordinating two projects into
one construction season and resolve design and safety issues with the existing
lift station
