AGENDA ITEM NO. <br />STAFF ORIGINATOR David Pecchia, Chief of Police /Interim City <br />Administrator <br />DATE July 7,1998 <br />TOPIC Resolution No. 98 -105, Authorizing Execution of <br />Sub -Grant Agreement, Federal Disaster Assistance <br />BACKGROUND: <br />The City of Lino Lakes is part of the eight (8) county Federal Disaster Declaration for the <br />May 15, 1998 severe storm, straight -line winds and tornado. To apply for Federal <br />Disaster Assistance, the City Council is asked to pass Resolution No. 98 =105 which <br />provides for the City of Lino Lakes to enter into a Sub -Grant Agreement with the <br />Division of Emergency Management in the Minnesota Department of Public Safety for <br />the program entitled Infrastructure Program for FEMA 1225 DR-MINNESOTA. <br />The City is estimating our reimbursable expenses for debris clearance, protection <br />measures, road system, building, equipment and public utility system to be approximately <br />$349,000.00. <br />The funding formula is 75% Federal, 15% State and 10% local. We are in the process of <br />having the State pay the local match. <br />OPTIONS: <br />1. Adopt Resolution No. 98 - 105, Authorizing Execution of Sub -Grant Agreement. <br />2. Adopt a motion returning the matter to staff for further information. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Option No. 1 <br />
