Mangelsen, 6202 Ware Road - Ware Road <br />Reconstruction Project. <br />INTRODUCTION: <br />The City will require a perpetual easement to provide for adequate Right of Way (ROW) <br />width along the north side of 62nd Street. The existing ROW is 16.5 feet which is to <br />narrow to \ allow for the future construction of roadway and utility improvements. The <br />ROW width at Millers South Glen is already set at 33 feet. The narrow ROW occurs only <br />at this property. The perpetual easement consists of approximately 0.80 acres. City <br />Council action is required to accept the perpetual easement. <br />BACKGROUND. <br />The City has had a number of projects in the area. The narrow ROW was discovered <br />during utility service installation associated with the Ware Road project. The perpetual <br />easement will provide adequate ROW for future street and utility projects. City staff has <br />negotiated the perpetual easement requirements for the ROW. A copy of the easement <br />document is attached to this report. <br />FINANCING SUMMARY: <br />The easement will be granted to the City for a cost of $1.00. <br />OPTIONS: <br />1 Return to staff for further review. <br />2. Adopt Resolution Number 98 -118, accepting the perpetual easement for road, <br />drainage, utility and stormwater ponding from Nick H. and Esther A. Mangelsen, 6202 <br />Ware Road. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Staff recommends that Resolution Number 98 -118 be adopted. <br />
