Pecchia <br />Public Safety Director / Chief of Police <br />MEETING DATE: August 10, 2009 <br />TOPIC: <br />Consideration of Resolution No. 09 -59 authorizing <br />execution of agreement with the Department of Public <br />Safety for Safe & Sober Communities grant <br />VOTE REQUIRED: Simple Majority <br />BACKGROUND <br />The Lino Lakes Police Department has participated in the Safe & Sober Communities <br />program for the past ten years. All law enforcement agencies in Anoka County <br />participate in the program to collectively work at making the roadways safer throughout <br />the enter county. The Coon Rapids Police Department will be the lead agency for all <br />eleven law enforcement agencies for this traffic safety effort. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Approval of Resolution No. 09 -59 authorizing execution of an agreement with the <br />Minnesota Department of Public Safety to participate in the Safe & Sober <br />Communities program. <br />
