• <br />• <br />Council Member Reinerintroduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />COUNTY OF ANOKA <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO. 09 -69 <br />AUTHORIZING A TEMPORARY LIQUOR LICENSE FOR A SPECIAL <br />EVENT AT AMERICAN LEGION POST 566 ON OCTOBER 10, 2009 <br />WHEREAS, the manager of American Legion Post 566 has submitted an application <br />for a 1 to 4 day temporary liquor license in conjunction with an event planned for July <br />25, 2009, and <br />WHEREAS, the event planned is a booyah (stew) and horseshoe event to be held on <br />the Legion's property between the hours of 10 a.m. and 9 p.m.; <br />WHEREAS, as part of the event the Legion would like to allow consumption of <br />alcoholic beverages in a fenced area outside of but contiguous to their building; <br />WHEREAS, the Legion has indicated that all beverages will be served inside the <br />building and patrons or members attending the event will receive a proper <br />identification check to ensure no underage alcohol service will occur; <br />WHEREAS, proof of general liability and liquor liability insurance has been submitted <br />by the Post; <br />WHEREAS, the Alcohol & Gambling Enforcement Division requires that this type of <br />temporary liquor application be approved by the City of Lino Lakes City Council <br />before submitting for approval to the Liquor Control Board. <br />Now, Therefore, Be It Resolved by The City Council of The City of Lino Lakes: <br />That the City Council grants local approval for a 1 -4 day temporary liquor <br />license to American Legion Post 566 for a special event on October 10, 2009. <br />Approved by the City Council of the City of Lino Lakes this 14TH day of <br />September, 2009. <br />ATTEST: <br />ne Bartell, C. - k <br />The motion for adoption <br />of the foregoing resolution was duly second <br />by council member Stoltz and upon a vote being taken thereon, the f <br />following voted in favor thereof: Reinert, Stoltz, O'Donnell, <br />Gallup & Bergeson <br />The following voted against same: none <br />
