The event planned is a booyah and horseshoe party from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 <br />p.m. <br />The Legion would like to fence off a portion of their property on the south side of the <br />building to be used for the horseshoe event on this one day only. The Minnesota <br />Alcohol and Gambling Enforcement Division would require a 1 to 4 Day Temporary <br />On -Sale Liquor License to allow the consumption of alcohol in this outdoor area. <br />The applicant is required to submit their request to the city for local approval before <br />the application is submitted to the state for final consideration. <br />The Legion has submitted to the City an application for the temporary liquor license <br />and the application has been reviewed by staff and the applicant has responded to <br />city requirements. Background information on the applicant and the American <br />Legion Post officers is on file at City Hall. <br />Therefore, staff is presenting for council consideration a resolution authorizing <br />issuance of a temporary liquor license to American Legion Post 566. <br />OPTIONS: <br />1.
