Council Member lei ner4- introduced the following resolution and moved its <br />• adoption. <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO 09 -16 <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING GRANT AWARD <br />FROM MESB FOR 800 MHZ SYSTEM <br />WHEREAS, the City of Lino Lakes submitted a grant request to the Metropolitan Emergency <br />Services Board (MESB) to provide partial funding for mobile and portable radio equipment; and, <br />WHEREAS, it is essential that Lino Lakes Public Services Department have the ability to <br />communicate interoperably with the Lino Lakes Police Department and the Centennial Fire <br />District, especially in emergency situations; and <br />WHEREAS, The City of Lino Lakes has received an allocation from the MESB in the amount <br />of $20,769.91 to purchase 800 MHZ radios; and <br />WHEREAS, The City of Lino Lake's portion of this grant award is $5,192.48. <br />• NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mayor and City Clerk execute the Sub <br />Grant Agreement to accept the Public Safety Interoperable Communications (PSIC) Grant funds. <br />Adopted by the Lino Lakes City Council this 9tL- day.of -Ma.1. , 2009. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Council Member <br />'tea l tti and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor <br />thereof: <br />'I ei nerf, '%all (4 LFer3esan <br />The following a ainst same: <br />None Absent - S-fb L+z-, b /Ponne(I) <br />Whereupon sai resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. <br />
