• <br />AGENDA ITEM 1 E <br />STAFF ORIGINATOR: Julie Bartell, City Clerk <br />MEETING DATE: May 26, 2009 <br />TOPIC: Resolution No 09 -33, Approving an Annual Fireworks <br />Permit for Super Target <br />VOTE REQUIRED: 3/5 <br />BACKGROUND <br />The City has received an application from Target Corporation requesting a permit to <br />sell fireworks at their Super Target facility located at 749 Apollo Drive. With the permit <br />application, the City has received verification of the required liability insurance. In turn, <br />the applicant has been provided with a copy of the City's regulations concerning the <br />sale, possession and use of consumer fireworks (City Ordinance No. 06 -02), as well <br />as a copy of the State's regulations including information on what can be sold. <br />The application has been reviewed by the fire chief and he has indicated no reason to <br />• deny the permit request. <br />OPTIONS: <br />1. Approve Resolution No. 09 -33 authorizing issuance of an annual permit for <br />the sale of consumer fireworks to Target Corporation for the Super Target <br />store at 749 Apollo Drive. <br />2. Deny Resolution 09 -33. <br />• <br />
