Council Member C. a. t (u o introduced the following resolution and moved • its adoption: • • CITY OF LINO LAKES RESOLUTION NO. 10 -32 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PREPARATION OF SIGNAL JUSTIFICATION REPORTS FOR THE BIRCH ST/WARE ROAD INTERSECTION AND THE LAKE DRIVE /MAIN STREET INTERSECTION WHEREAS, the intersections of Lake Drive and Main Street; and Birch Street and Ware Road are currently experiencing growing congestion and safety problems; and WHEREAS, the City has previously received requests from residents to consider the signalization of both intersections; and WHEREAS, the city is proposing to prepare Signal Justification Reports to determine if traffic signal improvements are warranted to improve safety and relieve congestion at each intersection. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LINO LAKES, MINNESOTA: 1. That preparation of Signal Justification Reports for the Lake Drive /Main Street intersection and the Birch StreetNVare Road intersection is hereby authorized. 2. That the staff is hereby authorized to enter into a professional services agreement with TKDA, the city e - , for tr= - •aration of said reports, in the not to exceed amount of ', 1,000 total •oth reports.
