Council Member Stoltz introduced the following resolution and moved <br />it adoption: <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />COUNTY OF ANOKA <br />RESOLUTION NO. 08 -02 <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BIDS AND AWARDING <br />FARMLAND LEASE AGREEMENT <br />WHEREAS, The City of Lino Lakes owns property located at the southeast corner of <br />Centerville Road and Birch Street that is suitable for farming; and <br />WHEREAS, The City of Lino Lakes prepared and advertised a lease agreement to farm <br />the land mentioned above; and <br />WHEREAS, The lease agreement is for a term of three years, beginning January 1, 2008 <br />and proof of insurance is required prior to any work being done on the property; and <br />WHEREAS, Bids were received and publicly opened on December 20, 2007 at 10:OOam. <br />in the City Council Chambers as follows: <br />Cardinal Brothers $9,000 ($3,000 annually for three years) <br />Mr. Paul Montain $10,500 ($3,500 annually for three years) <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Lino Lakes City Council hereby <br />awards the Farmland Lease Agreement to Mr. Paul Montain and directs the city clerk to <br />prepare the Farmland Lease Agreement for execution. <br />Adopted by the Lino Lakes City Council this 14th day of January, 2008. <br />ATTEST: <br />e Bartell, City <br />John rgeso , , Ma or <br />The motion for adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by <br />Council Member Gallup and upon vote being taken thereon the following voted <br />in favor thereof: Stoltz, Gallup, Bergeson <br />The following voted against same: None (Absent- Reinert, O'Donnell) <br />Whereupon said resolution was declared culy passed and adopted. <br />
