• <br />• <br />• <br />O'Donnell, <br />Council Member introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO. 08-46 <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BIDS AND AWARDING A CONSTRUCTION <br />CONTRACT, 2008 STREET OVERLAY PROJECT <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the construction of 2008 Street Overlay <br />project, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law, and the following bids were <br />received complying with the advertisement: <br />Contractor Amount of Bid <br />W B Miller Inc. $ 176,147.40 <br />Northwest Asphalt, Inc. $ 183,087.75 <br />North Valley, Inc.. $ 192,630.01 <br />Rum River Contracting $ 192,798.46 <br />ASTECH Corp. $ 196,944.10 <br />Hardrives Inc. $ 198,824.20 <br />Knife River Corp. $ 200,698.69 <br />T A Schifsky & Sons Inc. $ 200,901.05 <br />FPI Paving Contractors $ 201,938.10 <br />Midwest Asphalt Corp $ 208,110.17 <br />Engineer's Estimate $ 196,018.50 <br />AND WHEREAS, it appears that WB Miller, Inc. is the lowest responsible bidder; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LINO <br />LAKES, MINNESOTA: <br />1. The Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with W B <br />Miller, Inc., in the name of the City of Lino Lakes for the construction of the 2008 Street <br />Overlay Project according to the plans and specifications approved by the City Council and <br />on file in the office of the City Clerk. <br />2.
