• <br />• <br />• <br />Council Member Reinert introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO. 08 -100 <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING A SUMMARY OF ORDINANCE NO. 12 -08 <br />FOR PUBLICATION <br />WHEREAS, the City Council has approved first and second reading of Ordinance No. <br />12 -08, amending the City Code by updating the City's regulations regarding criminal <br />history background for applicants for City employment and City licenses; and <br />WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 12 -08 is lengthy and MN Statute 412.191 provides for a city <br />to publish a summary of an ordinance, and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council determines that the summary clearly informs the public of <br />the intent and effect of the ordinance, and <br />WHEREAS, the publication in the official newspaper will include a notice that a full <br />printed copy of the ordinance is available at City Hall, <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT the City Council approves the summary <br />in Attachment A for publication according to state law and the City Charter. <br />Passed by the Lino Lakes City Council this 8th day of September 2008. <br />ATTI <br />artell, City •lerk <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Council <br />Member 6povimil and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor <br />thereof: <br />F?e)vt o►t, D'Vavmett , aa U cs v) <br />The following voted against same: <br />Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. <br />
