The <br />results of the bid opening are presented below. City Council action is required to award a <br />construction contract to the lowest responsible bidder. <br />Contractor Amount of Bid <br />Pearson Bros., Inc. $ 94,581.00 <br />Allied Blacktop Company $ 99,754.00 <br />Astech Asphalt Surface $ 101,540.00 <br />Engineer's Estimate $ 108,550.00 <br />The low bids are competitive bids for this project. A copy of the Tabulation of Bids is <br />attached. The final completion date for this project is August 31, 2011. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Staff recommends that Resolution No. 11— 42 Accepting Bids and Awarding a <br />Construction Contract, 2011 Street Sealcoat Project to be adopted. <br />
