• <br />• <br />Council Member Gallup <br />adoption: <br />introduced the following resolution and moved its <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />COUNTY OF ANOKA <br />RESOLUTION NO. 11 -46 <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING A DONATION FROM MINNESOTA METRO <br />NORTH TOURISM FOR LINO LAKES BLUE HERON DAYS FESTIVAL <br />WHEREAS, The City of Lino Lakes is a participating member of Minnesota <br />Metro North Tourism (MMNT); and <br />WHEREAS, The City collects a 3% lodging tax Pursuant to M.S.A. § 469.190 for <br />the purpose of supporting MMNT; and <br />WHEREAS, The Board of Directors of MMNT voted to provided $3,448.00 in <br />2011 for promotion of the City's festival upon request of the official festival <br />committee; and <br />WHEREAS, The Lino Lakes Blue Heron Days Committee requested the donation <br />as official sponsor and financial manager of Blue Heron Days. <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, the Lino Lakes City Council does <br />hereby accept the donation of $3,448.00 for use by the Lino Lakes Blue Heron <br />Days Committee for the purposes of providing funds for advertising and <br />promotion of family oriented activities during Blue Heron ea s. <br />A.. <br />Ju anne Bartell, • ity <br />Adopted by the Lino Lakes City Council this25trlay of Apri011. <br />e Rei e , Mayor <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by <br />Council Member Roeser and upon vote being taken thereon, the following <br />voted in favor thereof: Gallup, Roeser, Rafferty, O'Donnell, Reinert <br />The following voted against same: <br />none <br />Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. <br />
