Studenski, City Engineer <br />COUNCIL MEETING DATE: June 27, 2011 <br />TOPIC: Resolution No. 11 -65, Approving Change Order #1 <br />and Partial Payment #1, 2011 Street Overlay Project <br />Vote Required: Simple Majority <br />BACKGROUND: <br />Sealed bids were received and publicly opened at 11:30 a.m. on March 30, 2011. The <br />contractor, North Valley, Inc. was awarded the contract at $ 298,100.50. The Engineer's <br />• Estimate was $ 318,930.00. <br />After the award of the contract, culvert work was added and deleted from the original <br />project. The change in work has resulted in a decrease in the contract of $1,105.50 for a <br />total of $296,995.00. Attached is a copy of Pay Estimate 1R and Change Order 1 R. <br />North Valley, Inc. is in agreement with the change of work. The final completion date for <br />this project is July 31, 2011. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Staff recommends that Resolution No. 11 —65 Approving Partial Payment and Change <br />Order for the 2011 Street Overlay Project be adopted. <br />
