• <br />• <br />• <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO. 05 -71 <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BIDS AND AWARDING A CONSTRUCTION <br />CONTRACT FOR THE BIRCH STREET TRAIL PROJECT <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the construction of Birch Street Trail <br />Project, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law, and the following bids were <br />received complying with the advertisement: <br />Contractor Amount of Bid <br />Central Landscaping, Inc. $191,650.00 <br />WB Miller, Inc. $198,829.00 <br />Magnum Co. $211,287.25 <br />Jay Bros, Inc. $211,626.75 <br />Universal Enterprises of Mid MN, Inc. $225,231.20 <br />North Valley, Inc. $233,126.40 <br />Engineer's Estimate $220,155.00 <br />AND WHEREAS, it appears that Central Landscaping, Inc. is the lowest responsible bidder; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LINO <br />LAKES, MINNESOTA: <br />1. The Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with <br />Central Landscaping, Inc., in the name of the City of Lino Lakes for the construction of the <br />Birch Street Trail Project according to the plans and specifications approved by the City <br />Council and on file in the office of the City Clerk. <br />2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the <br />deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the next <br />lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed. <br />Adopted by the Lino Lakes City Council this 13th day of June, 2005. <br />Ann Y" lair, City Clerk <br />John Berg on, yor <br />
