• <br />• <br />• <br />City Council <br />June 27, 2005 <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES, MINNESOTA <br />RESOLUTION N0.05 -81 <br />SUPPORTING ANOKA COUNTY FEDERAL FUNDING APPLICATION FOR THE <br />CSAH 14 TRAIL UNDERPASS <br />WHEREAS, Anoka County has been awarded federal transportation funding for the <br />reconstruction of CSAH 14 from I -35W to I -35E; and <br />WHEREAS, the Rice Creek Chain of Lakes Regional Park Reserve provides for open <br />space and recreational opportunities for the City of Lino Lakes, surrounding <br />communities and the metropolitan area as a whole; <br />WHEREAS, development of the regional trail network provides opportunities for citizens <br />to experience and enjoy the natural amenities offered by the Park; and <br />WHEREAS, the proposed regional trail will provide connections to neighboring <br />communities and adjacent counties following Rice Creek watershed. <br />WHEREAS, Anoka County has submitted an application to the Transportation Advisory <br />Board (TAB) to the Metropolitan Council for 2009 and 2010 projects to use federal <br />transportation enhancement funds to assist with the construction of a pedestrian /bicycle <br />bridge in the environmentally sensitive area of the park. <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />LINO LAKES, MINNESOTA: <br />That the City of Lino Lakes strongly supports the request of Anoka County for federal <br />transportation enhancement funds to assist with the construction of a pedestrian /bicycle <br />bridge in the environmentally sensitive area of the park. <br />Adopted by the Lino Lakes City Council this 27th day of June, 2005 <br />John 7Berg , ayor <br />
